"Scufflegrit, formerly the Midnight Tokers from Jacksonville, Alabama have recently recorded their first album in Sheffield, AL. They aren't currently playing live as one is stationed in the Army in New York and the rest of the band is in Alabama. After listening to the first song the hair on my arms was standing up as I appreciated the deeply rooted soul and talent of this band. The song "Southern Boys" has great harmonies and reminds me of songs from the feature film"O' Brother Where Art Thou". The quality of the recordings is the best of the best which is a result of recording at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Matthew Aston's soothing and powerful vocals are a rare gift and he really delivers as does the rest of the band. They take me to the country, they take me to the south. Support these wonderfully talented musicians. I can't wait to hear more!"
